Description   Motorola Original HLN3987A: Retrofit Kit adds the option of Private-Line (PL) coded squelch to portable radios with the following model number prefixes:PR23RR- PR23SR- PR24PR- PR24RR- PR24SR- P23XN- P24XN- Fits General Radios: SP10 SP21 When this kit is installed into radio it allows the radio to be programmed for a specific PL code. The user may choose either standard operation or PL operation. Standard operation allows all activity to be heard. While PL mode will squelch out transmissions not on the set PL code. (By setting dip switch on PL board)This part comes with instructions and chassis extraction tool to install PL board. You set PL code by dip switches on circuit board.
