Buyer Be Ware!
If you have found us through an Ebay Listing, please understand that as Motorola's Largest Dealer for the past 12 years, AGT Battery Supply does not sell Used, Stolen, Counterfeit or Refurbished items pawned off as new. So if it seems like our price is higher than the referring site, it could be because the referring site may be selling Used, Stolen, Refurbished or Counterfeit items. Check the Warranty. In order to be Warranteed the dealer or seller must provide proof of purchase from Motorola, this cannot be done with Stolen, Refurbished, Counterfeit, or products being obtained from companies that have gone out of business.
How To Read A Motorola Date Code:
| A Motorola Original Battery will have a Date Code somewhere on the Battery using the following format:
| 832 AUK1...translates to the 32nd week of 2008 521 AMK2...translates to 21st week of 2005
|
| As you can see the first number refers to the year the battery was manufactured and the second and third numbers refer to the week of the year the battery was manufactured. The alphas do not have any relevance to the date code.
| Why is the date code so Important?
| | Motorola usually warantees most of their batteries for 18 months from date of Manufacture: therefore if you were to purchase the second battery listed above, not only would it be out of waranty, but a battery only holds its abilty to retain power for so long, therefore it is likley to have a drastically reduced life. As MotorolasLargest Dealer, we recieve batteries everyday from Motorola: therefore we provide most the current date codes offered by Motorola. |
